BEP Joins Civil Society Letter Urging EU to Stand Firm on Digital Sovereignty

Together with over 50 civil society organisations and independent experts, the Balanced Economy Project has signed a letter to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission calling for a firm, decisive and united approach to the Trump administration's escalating attacks on the EU's social and economic protections and standards on digital technology.

We urge the European Commission to not only press ahead with existing investigations under the Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act and antitrust law, but to also consider further measures in response to unprecedented US interference, including applying the EU's powerful new Anti-Coercion Instrument.
